Quick Tips On Building A Computer
Building Tips:
- Remove Static: Touch something metallic to ground yourself.
- Make sure to put on the I/O panel before the motherboard
- Never forget to install standoff before motherboard
- Install motherboard last (all heavy equipment goes in first.
- Build your computer outside the case (installing ram, cpu, and cooler)
I've built a dozen PCs and never thought to install all the motherboard items before putting it into the case. I can see the benefits of that now. Fighting with the CPU clamp or installing the CPU cooler has always been a challenge. I'm not due for a new machine until next a year or 2 more but I'll definitely remember that for my next build.
